TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
This is a very special opportunity for you to participate in a national production. Please remember... this is a TV taping. Your cooperation and patience during this process are essential for making great television. Please read carefully (and print for future reference) the following terms and conditions related to this national taping:
No-Refund Policy:
- All pledges for tickets must be placed on a credit card and are NON-REFUNDABLE. Only one credit card can be used for each pledge.
- Pledges made before 3/30/2010 may be made in two installments. The first installment payment will be processed on the day of the pledge (or within one week) and the second installment payment will be processed approximately one month following your initial pledge. Once the first installment has been processed, no refunds will be permitted.
Tickets:
- Single-night tickets (one ticket for one night) may be offered at a later date, though WQED does not guarantee single-night tickets will be made available at all for this taping.
- In the event that single-night tickets are offered, we cannot guarantee WQED Presents-level seating for these tickets.
- Tickets will be mailed at least two weeks prior to the concert date.
Seating:
- You will be seated in the same seats for all three nights of the taping.
- WQED Presents members will be seated before non-WQED Presents members in the order pledges are received. We cannot seat parties together when pledges are made on separate credit cards.
- All non-WQED Presents members will be seated after WQED Presents members in the order pledges are received.
- The show will start promptly at 7:00 p.m. on May 21 and 5:00 p.m. on May 22 & 23. Ticket holders must be in their assigned seats 20 minutes before the start of the show each night or we reserve the right to reassign your seat for that particular night in order to prevent gaps in seating during the filming. Please plan accordingly for traffic and parking as we will not be able to hold your seats past this time.
- The production crew reserves the right to move individuals whose seating interferes with the cameras or other technical equipment. In such instances, we will make every effort to find comparable seating for you.
- In some instances producers of the show may select individuals to fill empty or "no show" seats to prevent gaps in seating during the filming.
Performers:
- WQED CANNOT guarantee appearances by specific performers on specific nights. WQED will notify ticket holders of new acts as they are signed via WQED.org and automated messages at 412-622-1339.
Show Time:
- There may be times when cameras may block your view of the stage and performers or when bright TV lights may be shining in your eyes.
- Expect at least five to fifteen minute delays between the acts because each performer may require additional sound and instrument set-up.
- For various technical reasons, artists may be asked to re-do a song.
- We expect the taping to finish between midnight and 1:00 a.m. each night.
- The use of cameras, audio and/or video recording devices of any kind by audience members is strictly prohibited. Anyone caught violating this policy will be asked to leave the premises. No refund will be given.
- There will be videotape and still camera crews photographing in areas throughout the Benedum Center. Your entry onto the premises constitutes your express consent to the use of your likeness in connection with any production, exhibition or other project.
Have Fun!
The opportunity to be part of a national taping for some of the BEST performers of doo wop, folk, rock & roll and oldies music from the 50's, 60's and 70's doesn't come around often - and we do not know if/when it will happen again. We want you to have fun and we encourage you to sing the words to the songs you know and love and get up to groove to the music! It is this energy that translates from the camera right to our national TV audience.
