WQED PREMIERES EXCLUSIVE PITTSBURGH RENTAL SPACE
FOR PRIVATE AND CORPORATE EVENTS AT ITS STUDIOS

PITTSBURGH—Ask any Pittsburgher what local station was the production home of television’s longest running children’s program (Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood) and they’ll easily tell you WQED.

What WQED has not been known for (until now!) is the versatility and convenience of its facilities as a rental space for private and corporate events. On Tuesday, May 15, 2012 from 5:30-8 p.m. WQED will open its Fred Rogers Studio to local event planners and vendors for the launch of The Studio on Fifth. Confirmed vendors include: All Occasions Event Rental, Bill Chisnell Productions, Enginehouse Winery, Event Source, Extraordinary Events, and La Crème Catering to name a few.

Now, the very same studio where Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood took place can be a magical setting for special events.

Conveniently situated in Oakland three miles east of downtown Pittsburgh and 20 miles from Pittsburgh International airport, a rental at The Studio on Fifth includes 100 on-site parking spaces and multiple loading dock entrances for vendors. Exclusive catering for rentals at The Studio on Fifth will be provided by La Crème Catering, owned and operated by Susie Franklin.

Available rental options at The Studio on Fifth include:

The Fred Rogers Studio (Studio A):
• An 60’ x 60’ studio
• A 21’ high lighting grid capable of supporting graphic images and special effects in any
color
• A 60’ x 80’ x 60’ cyclorama wall, which can be lit or covered in black drape
• High quality stereo sound system

Studio B:
• A 60’ x 40’ studio
• A 18’ x 16’ green screen that can also be extended to the floor for an additional charge
• High quality stereo sound system

To schedule a tour of The Studio on Fifth please contact Lisa Przyborski at 412-622-1395 or lprzyborski@wqed.org or visit www.thestudioonfifth.com.
