ANIMAL RESCUE LEAGUE FEATURED ON WQED’S EXPERIENCE
PITTSBURGH—On Monday, January 31, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. EXPERIENCE: The Animal Rescue League Story will premiere on WQED-TV.
In 1909, The Animal Rescue League of Western Pennsylvania was started by a group of five local animal lovers. Originally, the League’s work consisted of recovering lost pets and reuniting them with their families and feeding abandoned cats and dogs. WQED-TV’s Michael Bartley reports on what this organization has developed into today: a multi-faceted community service providing behavioral training, wildlife rehabilitation and an animal foster program among others. This half-hour documentary will tell viewers about the history, challenges, successes, outreach, and volunteers throughout the 102 year history of this beloved organization.
EXPERIENCE is a half-hour, locally-produced documentary series that airs on WQED-TV Mondays at 7:30 p.m. Additional episode information, links and past episodes of EXPERIENCE may be found online at wqed.org/experience. For updates on EXPERIENCE viewers may “Like” the show’s fan page on Facebook.
