is yet another talent-packed production of WQED Pittsburgh's American
Soundtrack Concert Series.
American
Soundtrack: Red, White & Rock
is a musical explosion of diversity and slice of Americana rolled
up in one concert unlike any other. Legendary artists Frankie
Avalon, Jerry Butler, Connie Francis and Frankie Valli host the
live reunion with over forty groups performing for PBS audiences
and for the preservation of the "American Soundtrack."
Celebrating
America and its various music genres, American
Soundtrack: Red, White & Rock
takes the musical journey from The Kingsmen's "Louie, Louie",
to "The Tears of a Clown" by the Miracles, to the romantic
classic "You've Lost That Loving Feeling" by the Righteous
Brothers to Connie Francis' "Where the Boys Are".
The
All-American, all star line up also features Tommy James &
the Shondells, The Toys, Dee Dee Sharp, The Chords, Shirley Alston
Reeves (The original voice of the Shirelles), The Dixie Cups,
Sonny Geraci, the Four Tops and many more.
