A New First-Run Children's Series

PITTSBURGH—Gina D’s Kids Club, a new first run children’s series targeting pre-school children ages two to five years old, will begin airing on WQEX, Tuesdays, starting October 5, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

This entertaining and educational series of 13 half-hours was released nationally in September 2004 and will join the WQEX Tuesday morning children’s line-up that includes The Big Comfy Couch, The Shapies and The Toy Castle.

Gina D’s Kids Club is a unique children’s show produced by Raven Moon Entertainment, Inc., that marries education, discovery and entertainment. The series is fun, educational and contains all original music. The program teaches kids positive messages, and has lovable characters. It is the perfect place for children to make new friends, as they are learning and having fun.

The main character, Gina D, is a fun loving and positive role model who connects with her two to five year old aged audience with the same familiarity that children associate with their mothers. Children are not only educated but are entertained by a cast of whimsical characters which include Simon Wannabe, Mister Pockets, Miss Muffin, Pierre D’Artist, TV Ted and Doggy Brown.

Gina D’s Kids Club scripts are designed to promote actions that support interpersonal skills such as helping others, negotiation, cooperation, sharing and tolerance.

Gina D and her whimsical clubhouse cast demonstrate these positive attributes to a culturally diverse group of children. Each episode has a theme designed to develop self-image, math, reading, and social skills in young children that concludes with Gina D writing a letter to her Grandma, which reinforces each episode’s educational objective.
