ROOMS WITH A VIEW

WINNER | Interior Design Singular Residential Space Over $25,000

Rooms with a View
Above: Built for entertainment, the living area features several seating areas to facilitate conversation. Windows around the room offer glimpses of Heinz Field and the Allegheny River.

The accomplished host offers more than food and drink to his or her guests. In this case, the owners of this metropolitan condo wanted to design their home to be something for parties and gatherings. "This is an entertaining pad," the judges said. "It is built to cater to and impress people. It is designed to suit the use."

The judges commented on Astorino's agility in combining three condo units into one 3,600-square-foot space that includes three bedrooms, an office, foyer, dining room, living area, kitchen and bar.

"The rooms each have a different use of color, but there is a consistency throughout the house," the judges said. "It's very elegant."
