We had a similar terrible experience with a special menu. Haven't been back since, but I'm heartened to hear that others have had good experiences with the "regular" menu. Will have to try it again.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience at Soba. We have been there several times and had a wonderful meal. Please give it another try.

My fiancee and I tried a "special" dinner at Soba earlier in the year, for the Burmese New Year. It was also a little disappointing. I have to go back to try their regular menu, as I hear that is good.

Boo hoo...and good point! If you've ever worked in a restaurant, you can guess that sometimes these special dinners can be a flop. I'm going to run over to Soba in hopes that the everyday menu is still shiny...meantime, what what's the general consensus out there?
