Outdoor activities abound in Pittsburgh: Our rivers provide space for boating, swimming and fishing; and our spectacular public parks give nature lovers a perfect sunny spot for relaxing. Yet, sometimes, weekends call for something more adventuresome, something that gets the blood pumping. Skydive Pennsylvania, located just a hop, skip and a jump from Grove City's Prime Outlets, can have even the newest novices taking their first tandem jump after an hour-long lesson with one of the talented instructors.

The memorable experience can even be shared later, via photographs and video taken by one of Skydive Pennsylvania's free-fall photographers.

Owner Jeff Reckard-who has more than 20 years of skydiving experience-says, "Skydiving is an experience so passionate that it gets inside you. You just can't stop thinking about it!" If Reckard is right, a trip to Skydive Pennsylvania may quite literally leap from a summer adventure into a life-long hobby.

Whether you're looking for wild or tame outdoor activities, you'll find a plethora of choices in this year's City Guide. -Rachael Moss
