Multimedia salutes outstanding volunteers in the arts community with
the Volunteer in the Arts award, made possible by Dominion.
A committee of Pittsburgh area professionals interested in cultivating the invaluable volunteer arts force selects the winners.The winners are honored monthly on the WQED website, with on-air salutes on WQED tv13 and WQED fm89.3, and with a full-page ad in PITTSBURGH magazine.
The winning volunteer's organization will receive a $1,000 grant in honor of their volunteer. The Volunteer of the Year's organization will be awarded an additional grant of $2,500.
WQED Multimedia and Dominion celebrate the volunteer honorees during a special luncheon in September, where the Volunteer of the Year is announced.

 Edith Isacke
Over the past 38 years, Edith Isacke has been a volunteer, officer and a board member with the Altoona Symphony Orchestra helping to present live, orchestral music to the residents of Central Pennsylvania.
