Sunday at the Symphony -- Chicago Symphony Orchestra

Pittsburgh Symphony Music Director Manfred Honeck conducts the overture to Die Fledermaus by Johann Strauss II.  Till Fellner is soloist in the Beethoven Piano Concerto #1.   There’s  also Joseph Haydn’s Sinfonia Concertante in B-flat, and Beethoven’s overture to Fidelio.

Juraj Valcuha conducts the Suite from Mother Goose by Maurice Ravel and Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances.   Internationally renowned percussionist Evelyn Glennie is soloist in Spirit Voices by Steven Stucky.
