With Principal Guest Conductor Leonard Slatkin, soloist Olga Kern brings her powerful artistry to Rachmaninoff’s virtuosic Piano Concerto #3. The program also includes the Third Symphony of American composer William Schuman, and a work about a father visiting Arlington National Cemetery with his son. It’s Arlington Sons, by Scott Eyerly, and features bass-baritone David Pittsinger and his son, boy soprano Richard.
