|Poptastic! The Art of Burton Morris|
Presented by: Heinz History Center
This first major retrospective of Burton Morris' work will feature nearly 50 items including early art and drawings from Morris' Pittsburgh childhood, signature painted works, product lines such as his Pittsburgh ties, sculptural work, and interactive works of art developed in conjunction with the Entertainment Technology Center at CMU. Carnegie Mellon-trained Morris was inspired by comic strips and magazines as a child, and later by artists Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Tom Wesselmann, and Red Grooms.
