James Osher: Three Seconds with the Master Presented by: Westmoreland Museum of American Art People spend only about three seconds viewing each work of art in museums, less time than spent reading labels. This exhibition pairs large format digital photographs derived from paintings in the Westmoreland's collection with lengthy descriptive labels that have no contextual relationship to the paintings with which they are paired, posing the question of how much curatorial influence they really have over the subject of the work.
