"Something about Oakland" Gallery

By Rick Sebak

Share your Oakland memories!

Though Oakland is our "second downtown," the place still brings back a flood of other memories for most Pittsburghers:

  • Gawking at the wonders of the Carnegie Museums,
  • Exploring the stacks of the Carnegie Library,
  • Attending the Spring Flower Show at Phipps,
  • Hanging out at concerts on Flagstaff Hill and Pirate games at Forbes Field,
  • Discovering the Nationality Rooms,
  • Going to the doctors' and visiting friends in the hospitals.

The list goes on and on!
