The Education Partnership gives free school and hygiene supplies to at-risk children in a six-county region. 32,000 students qualify for support, many from the Pittsburgh Public Schools. This year, The Education Partnership will provide individual boxes full of school and personal supplies - such as notebooks, glue sticks, binders, paper, and more - to more than local 6,000 students. For many students, this will be their only holiday present.
WQED is proud to collaborate with The Education Partnership this holiday season. We're bringing WordGirl to visit with students during the distribution events, and we'll also provide parent information and classroom resources from our favorite PBS programs to each participating teacher.
