Dorothy and E2 Courting Today

Published by at 12:47 pm under Nesting & Courtship,Peregrines

For peregrine falcons, spring is in the air.

Dorothy is on camera right now!

Moments later…  And now she’s gone…  flying.

All the activity around the nest, and I haven’t seen them once yet this week out flying around or even sitting up top.

They’re being sneaky, Peter. Dorothy sometimes perches on the back strut of the HD antenna (it looks like a stereo speaker on the roof). She blends right in!

As much as I enjoyed watching the mirgration and influx of Peregrines into the Florida Keys this autumn, I’m especially enjoying the return of Dorothy & E2 to witness a new generation of baby Peregrines this spring. Hard to break away from the computer when those two are active on the nest!
