]]> http://www.wqed.org/birdblog/2010/09/21/opposable-chums/comment-page-1/#comment-11018 kelly Tue, 21 Sep 2010 19:06:45 +0000 http://www.wqed.org/birdblog/?p=23912#comment-11018 the folks that gain my admiration in this event are the ones in the non-motorized division. the top teams if my memory serves correctly do 100 miles or even more by bicycle during the 24-hr event and still chalk up a crazy amount of species. for an event meant to aid in the preservation of bird species, i applaud their efforts. now they definitely earn their dinner, drinks and back slaps by the end of the day. the all-day-sit folks also seem to embody the spirit of the event more so than the drive-all-day set.
