Mariah lost her mate (Archer) to Beauty. After she recovered from her injuries she was released in the Syracuse area and flew right back to Rochester and her favorite place, the Kodak Tower. Mariah is likely to challenge Beauty next spring. We’ll just have to wait and see.

They nest in cavities such as church steeples (mentioned in the article) and woodwork on old buildings. This baby is late but not outside the breeding window for Kestrels.
