I woke this morning (Nov 16, 2008) with a tremendous symphony of weird honking coming from the small inland lake on which I live (Aurora Lake, Ohio), to see hundreds of what I have identified (with help) as Tundra Swans. Hundreds of the white birds with black beaks were nestled in a stumpy area nearby with hundreds more across the lake (about a half mile). Total estimates were 500-1000 birds. All were raising such a raucous that I recorded a 15 sec video with my digital camera. If you contact me, I’ll send you the video. I also have a video of a flock in the distance flying away.
