I wasn't there but I hear it started off so foggy that everyone doubted there'd be any migration at all. Then at noon the fog cleared a little and 34 golden eagles flew by, some very close. 34! Wow. Thank goodness you mentioned dressing warmly...Brrrr! We saw several golden eagles while we were there, one of which had to be a juvenile. It flew directly over us and we could see the light wing patches. The people there were great. I'd like to go back next year to see the broadwings. We saw 8 ravens while we were there as well. And the view, wow! I've never seen anything like it; it's spectacular.
