Vera Stark is a budding actress in an era where the only roles for African-American women are maids. When she is cast in the same Southern epic as her employer, an aging star grasping at her dwindling career, sparks fly. Peter Pan
Peter Pan, the delightful tale of the boy who wouldn’t grow up, is a children’s ballet. Director Monica Ryan choreographs the production with a cast of 70 children. An array of fantastical characters inhabit Neverland including Mermaids, Fish, Indians, Pirates, and Lost Boys. Baldwin High School senior Nigel Armbruster stars as Peter Pan with Adrienne Elion as Wendy and 9-year-old Madisen Albert as Tinkerbell.

Wendy Whelan Project
