Clayton Days: Picture Stories by Vik Muniz
In 1999, the Frick collaborated with artist Vik Muniz resulting in an exhibition of 65 photographs made on site and in the nearby environs of Pittsburgh. Clayton Days: Picture Stories by Vik Muniz, marked the Frick's first venture into working with a living artist, and resulted in a significant body of work. The Frick restages this exhibition to coincide with the regional focus on contemporary art during the Carnegie International. Since working with the Frick, Muniz has received international acclaim.
The Secret Gardener (La finta giardiniera)
In Mozart's delightful comedy, a Marchioness disguises herself as a lowly (but lovely) gardener in order to escape a lover's quarrel. The attendant confusions give rise to high hilarity and, of course, a happy ending. This beautiful, rarely-heard Mozart jewel will appeal to families with children as well as the Mozart aficionado.

Geneva Summer Piano Camp
This week-long piano camp is for students in grades 1-12. Daily masterclasses will be taught by Geneva College piano faculty, Festival Director Dr. Sha Wang, and guests. Theory/aural skill training sessions will be supplemented with history lessons in the forms of storytelling and skits. A free public recital will be given at 6:00 pm on the 19th.

Mozart in Concert
A three-recital series features residence ensemble the Freya String Quartet, pianist Robert Frankenberry, and SummerFest singers performing some of Mozart’s best and also rarely performed works, as well as works by his family members.
Mozart Camp is a five-day program of lectures, recitals, films, concerts, dinners, museum visits and more for adult learners of all ages. The program centers around the theme "Mozart: A family affair", and investigates music written by Wolfgang, his father Leopold and son Franz Xaver, and music played by his sister Nannerl. Mozart Camp culminates in a performance of The Secret Gardener (La finta giardiniera), which Mozart composed at age 18.

The Pittsburgh Pride Theater Festival showcases locally-written one-act plays with LGBT themes. "Is that a Gun in Your Pocket..." by Carol Mullen: A down-on-his-luck entrepreneur runs afoul of a loan shark and the sexy hit man sent to collect on a debt. "The Session" by Wali Jamal: Marital woes drive a wacky lesbian couple to couples counseling. "Sibling Rivalry" by Kathryn Miller Haines: A daughter desperate for her mother's affection will do anything to get her attention, even if it means coming out of the closet. "Defense of Marriage" by Jeff Cordell: A gay couple comically gropes toward a decision on a more committed life together - will it clean up some misunderstandings or be a drag?

A Little Nightmare Music
An opera in one short and irrevocable act. Composer Peter Schickele (a.k.a. P.D.Q. Bach) gets his hands on Mozart's famous serenade Eine Kleine Nachtmusik (A Little Night Music), only to use it as the score for a miniature opera. Renowned Pittsburgh countertenor Andrey Nemzer is featured with Kara Cornell in the "pants role" of Peter Schlafer and Ganson Salmon as Mozart.

Notes from the Heart - Bringing Out the Stars
The Woodlands Foundation presents its annual "Notes from the Heart" concert to benefit its work enriching the lives of children and young adults with disability and chronic illness. Particpants include Harvard University choral director Andrew Clark, former Hartford Symphony Music Director Edward Cumming, vocalist Lily Abreu, Pittsburgh Public Schools orchestral director Marylou Bushyager, and Woodlands pianist Jennifer Klenk.
Kevin Noe directs a program including "Crashing through Fences" by Timothy Andres, Piano Trio by Pierre Jalbert, and a world premiere PNME & Barlow commission, "Falling" by Mathew Rosenblum.
