Fiddlesticks Family Concert: "Carnival of the Animals"
Conductor Lawrence Loh joins Fiddlesticks onstage as cartoon artist Joe Wos from the Toonseum illustrates the animals in Saint-Saens' musical menagerie, from the royal lion to the graceful swan, as the PSO performs. Discovery Time activities at 10:00 am (concert at 11:15) will include tortoise races provided by the Pittsburgh Zoo, animal-themed arts and crafts, sing-a-long music, and dancing activities!

Pennsylvania Sings
Every hour, there are choices of singalongs or dancing/instrument making at downtown Greensburg churches: First Presbyterian, First Lutheran, First Reformed, and First Methodist. This event for all ages offers jazz, Broadway, shaped‑note, folk, children, country, eastern European, and other styles.

Music on the Edge: JACK Quartet
The JACK Quartet electrifies audiences worldwide with "explosive virtuosity" (Boston Globe) and "viscerally exciting performances" (New York Times). David Patrick Stearns (Philadelphia Inquirer) proclaimed their performance as being "among the most stimulating new-music concerts of my experience." Co-presented with The Andy Warhol Museum.

Music Plus: Voices of Eternity
St. James' Music Plus series presents the 16-voice Pittsburgh School for the Choral Arts Chamber Choir in a 50-minute program titled "Voices of Eternity" directed by Kathryn Barnard. With flute and piano, they'll perform music by Glick, Ullman, Stroope, and others, including the Hebrew pieces "Drei Gebrausch," "Hebrew Rounds for Peace", and selections from "Ann Frank: A Living Voice." A 2:30 preconcert, "The Fourth Wind", features a quartet of high school seniors.

Soprano Marlissa Hudson & organist Marvin Mills
Soprano Marlissa Hudson, a graduate of Duke University and the Peabody Institute, is at home both on the operatic and concert stage. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch described her as a "superb lyric coloratura." Organist Marvin Mills has established himself as one of the finest organists of his generation, and served as arranger and accompanist on mezzo-soprano Denyce Graves's CD "Angels Watching Over Me." The concert will include works by Mozart, Rachmaninoff, Ricky Ian Gordon, and others, and the premiere of three spirituals arranged for Ms. Hudson by Mr. Mills.

Cabaret Series - Carol Woods
Carol Woods's nightclub and cabaret performances span from London to Tokyo, and Las Vegas to Honolulu. Nominated for an Olivier Award for her performance in Blues In The Night, Carol has sung at New York's Carnegie Hall, The Village Gate, B. Smith's, Michael's Pub and Town Hall. Broadway credits include Chicago, One Mo' Time, Follies, Smokey Joe's Café, Stepping Out, The Goodbye Girl, Big River and The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas.
