Evita tells Eva Peron's passionate and unforgettable true story, and features some of theater's most beautiful songs, including "Don't Cry for Me Argentina," "Another Suitcase in Another Hall" and "High Flying, Adored." This new production of Evita isdirected by Michael Grandage and choreographed by Rob Ashford.

Woman and Scarecrow
Woman is dying. With quintessentially Irish wit, she and her mysterious companion Scarecrow consider what she leaves behind and what might have been as she faces the mystery of what is to come. Is that Death lurking in the wardrobe? If you liked Margaret Edson’s Wit, try Marina Carr's lyrical play. Alan Stanford directs Nike Doukas as Woman, Karen Baum as Scarecrow, Sharon Brady as Auntie Ah, and James FitzGerald as Him.

An Evening with Marianne Cornetti
Internationally-renowned Verdi mezzo-soprano Marianne Cornetti returns to her Pittsburgh roots for SummerFest's special opening concert. In addition to the performance, you can opt for tickets to a festive dinner and/or a post-concert reception with Ms. Cornetti and the SummerFest artists.

The Merry Widow
Since its premiere in Vienna in 1905, Franz Lehar's classic has been delighting audiences with its charming melodies and lavish party scenes. The libretto, by Viktor Leon and Leo Stein, follows Hanna, a rich widow, and her countrymen's attempt to keep her money in the principality by finding her the right husband. WQED-FM's Anna Singer returns for a third time as Hanna Glawari in The Merry Widow.

The Fantasticks
The Fantasticks invites audiences to travel on a journey of love discovered, lost, and then rediscovered, with humor and pathos and memorable melodies. But this new production of the world's longest-running musical, in collaboration with Attack Theatre, integrates movement and dance into the tale in a way you've never imagined.

Mark Twain's famous American short story explodes with musical dramatic life in The Jumping Frog of Calaveras County. This children's opera captures the authenticity of the original tale, set during the American Gold Rush.
