Tales of Hoffmann - Retold
Hoffmann is obsessed with three beautiful women—or is it one mercurial woman, split into three different personalities? The great story of E.T.A. Hoffmann's love life is retold in a new version incorporating some of the poet-composer’s own music. Lady Windermere's Fan
Tongues wag when the tarnished Mrs. Erlynne returns to town, but it's Lady Windermere who is most scandalized: she suspects her new husband of having an affair with this woman of ill-repute. When she decides to strike back at him with her own unfaithfulness, an unlikely rescuer saves her from the deed and its consequences. Re-conceived by director Alan Stanford, Oscar Wilde's comic masterpiece time-travels to the 1940's, where the price for breaking high society's rules are still considerable. Nike Doukas stars.
