Radio Golf by August Wilson
Pittsburgh Playwrights becomes one of the few theatres in the world to present all ten plays of August Wilson's Pittsburgh Century Cycle in the order of their Broadway appearance. Mark Clayton Southers, Art Terry, Wali Jamal with Kevin Brown and Chrystal Bates under the direction of Eileen J. Morris bring Wilson's characters to life as they tell the story of Harmond Wilks and his evolution in the Historic Hill District.

Pittsburgh Opera singers serenade you with a mix of opera and musical theatre favorites such as "Sull'aria" from The Marriage of Figaro, "Largo al factotum and "Una voce poco fa" from The Barber of Seville, "O mio babbino caro" from Gianni Schicchi, and "Au fond du temple saint" from The Pearl Fishers. SOLD OUT. (Donations still welcome.) PYSO's annual fundraising party & concert raises funds for scholarships, program support, and 2014's overseas tour. WQED-FM's Jim Cunningham will emcee.  Music Director Lawrence Loh and the full Orchestra will encore their favorites from the 2012-13 season, including Strauss's Voices of Spring, a Dvorak Slavonic Dance, and Bizet's Farandole.

Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival
The 54th annual Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival connects the community to the arts through high-quality and diverse visual and performing art attractions including more than 100 events and activities featuring more than 500 artists in over 20 venues. The Festival is free and open to the public. June 10th is Classical Music Day, featuring a concert by the Pittsburgh Symphony and Pittsburgh Opera resident artists at the Point.

Zachary Good, clarinet
Pittsburgh native Zachary Good earned his Bachelor of Music degree at the Oberlin Conservatory. He began clarinet lessons with Eric Nelson, performed in many ensembles while at Oberlin, and will play this summer with the Aspen Music Festival's Contemporary Music Ensemble. Next year, he will study for a master's degree with former Chicago Symphony principal clarinetist Larry Combs.

Trillium Ensemble presents Silent Spring
Silent Spring features new works and the completion of John Adams' Gnarly Buttons. Trillium Ensemble commissioned Mark Fromm's Silent Spring, inspired by Rachel Carson, which uses a singing pianist, extended flute techniques, and bass clarinet. A world premiere piano solo, Matthew Heap's On The Ceiling Of The Sky, presents a full-range rhythmic thunderstorm. Mathew Rosenblum’s Under the Rainbow, for flute and pre-recorded CD, journeys through techno, karaoke, lounge, and cartoon soundtrack genres, with samples from MGM's Wizard of Oz.

Australian Pink Floyd in concert ("Set the Controls" tour)
The Australian Pink Floyd Show is BACK! After more than twenty years performing the music of Pink Floyd to millions of fans, Aussie Pink Floyd brings their show back to Pittsburgh's Heinz Hall this October. The band has secured great seats for WQED supporters for their Set the Controls tour.
