The Kreutzer Sonata
Pozdynyshev, an enigmatic stranger in a smoky rail car, weaves a tale of love, loss and betrayal. His sensuous wife plays piano while his old friend plays violin, the Kreutzer Sonata between them, powerful and evocative. Was Beethoven's music the soundtrack to their illicit passion, or has Pozdynyshev made a terrible mistake? Irish playwright Nancy Harris adapted Tolstoy's classic novella into a theatrical experience. Richard McMillan stars, Alan Stanford directs.

Manfred Honeck conducts Rossini's exciting William Tell Overture -- famously used as the theme music for the Lone Ranger radio and television shows. Symphony #93 is the first of 12 “London symphonies” composed by Haydn and showcases the composer's humor. Strauss' tone poem Ein Heldenleben (A Hero's Life) depicts a hero's journey from the battlefield to finding peace.

Radio Golf by August Wilson
Pittsburgh Playwrights becomes one of the few theatres in the world to present all ten plays of August Wilson's Pittsburgh Century Cycle in the order of their Broadway appearance. Mark Clayton Southers, Art Terry, Wali Jamal with Kevin Brown and Chrystal Bates under the direction of Eileen J. Morris bring Wilson's characters to life as they tell the story of Harmond Wilks and his evolution in the Historic Hill District.
