Second City for President

The Second City, which launched the careers of Tina Fey, Stephen Colbert, Steve Carrell and many others, celebrates more than 50 years of cutting-edge satirical revues. Their current touring troupe features the next generation of the comedy world's best and brightest in improvisational and sketch comedy with musical accompaniment and audience participation.
Shadyside…The Art Festival on Walnut Street
The Shadyside Chamber of Commerce and Howard Alan Events present this juried festival. Many familiar faces return to this popular upscale show along with new exhibitors including several from Pittsburgh. Artists will display original handmade artwork, including paintings, life-size sculptures, photography, and mixed media in a gallery style outdoor art extravaganza. Artists are available to discuss their art and inspiration. Free admission.

A workshop production written by Tammy Ryan and directed by Sheila McKenna. It's July 1977 in sweltering New York City. Sixteen year old friends Mary Claire and Mary Francis start the day sunning themselves on the roof. Younger sister Reenie is searching for her prize-winning Greek Mythology Class Project: The Head of Medusa, while their parents are consumed by the battles of their troubled marriage. The Marys hatch a plan to stay out all night with a bonfire on the beach, but the unexpected happens: the biggest blackout since 1965, a chance encounter with Son of Sam and a sudden loss of innocence.
