Violinist & PSO Concertmaster Noah Bendix-Balgley performs with pianist Rodgrigo Ojeda in a recital including Bach's "Chaconne" from Partita #2 in D minor for Unaccompanied Violin, Beethoven's Sonata #7 in C minor, Bloch's Baal Shem Suite, Prokofiev's Five Melodies for Violin and Piano, and Ravel's Tzigane.

Gem of the Ocean
This play features the potent power of Aunt Ester, August Wilson's gatekeeper to spiritual matters, and the hearts of the Hill residents she loves. When Aunt Ester opens her home to the troubled Citizen Bartow, a recent migrant from the rural South, a battle ensues not only within Citizen, who begs Aunt Ester to "wash his soul," but also between Citizen and Caesar Wilkes, a stern man of the law, threatened by Citizen's independence and defiance of his authority.. Performed by the August Wilson Center Theater Ensemble, Mark Clayton Southers, director.

Pianist Sean Duggan, and cellist Aron Zelkowicz in recital. Duggan plays Bach's French Suite #5, two Faure nocturnes, and Brahms's Intermezzo Op. 118 #2. Zelkowicz plays a Bach Chaconne, de Falla's Suite Populaire Espagnole, and Chopin's Introduction and Polonaise Brillante.
