La Belle Époque Cabaret (SOLD OUT) THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT. An evening evoking a bawdy Parisian cabaret from La Belle Époque [The Beautiful Era]. The Pittsburgh Song Collaborative performs period French songs (translated or with subtitles) once sung by Yvette Guilbert, Aristide Bruant, and others. Emcee Rob Frankenberry weaves together musical selections, comedic monologues, and satirical skits. Projected images of artwork emphasize the role that café culture played for Impressionist artists.
