Thanksgiving with Igudesman and Joo
Often compared to luminaries such as Victor Borge and Dudley Moore, violinist Aleksey Igudesman and pianist Hyung-ki Joo have taken the world by storm with their unique and hilarious sketches. Their performances with some the most prestigious classical musicians have won reviews from The New York Times, Vanity Fair and many others. Music Director Manfred Honeck conducts.

Latin American Fiesta
Renaissance City Winds will perform Latin American works and Holiday music by Efrain Amaya, Julio Medaglia, and Paquito D'Rivera. After the concert will be a reception and tour of the astounding Model Train Museum on the upper floors of this beautiful North Side Mansion.

Great Expectations
A woman hell-bent on revenge on all men snares Pip, a kindhearted boy, in her wicked web, with the beautiful Estella as bait. Pip is stuck fast in Miss Havisham's web of love and deceit–will he become a gentleman and win the love of Estella? Dickens' classic novel has been adapted by Hugh Leonard with the best parts of Pip's adventure. Like A Christmas Carol, this play brims with unusual characters–a perfect family entertainment to end the year. Alan Stanford directs.

Carnegie Mellon Holiday Concert
Under the direction of Andres Cardenes, the Carnegie Mellon University Philharmonic will feature award-winning pianist Luis Hernandez on Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue. The Chorus will join the Philharmonic on Vivaldi's Gloria. Also on the program will be Bernstein's Symphonic Dances from West Side Story.

The Nutcracker
Monica Ryan directs two weekends of The Nutcracker presented by the Carnegie Performing Arts Center. Students from CAPA and other area high schools dance the lead roles. Over 70 dancers from many community dance schools ranging in age from 5 to adult round out the cast of swirling snowflakes and candy flowers.

BeethovenFest: The Revolutionary
Maestro Honeck begins three (non-consecutive) weekends on Beethoven's life and works with two of Beethoven's most-loved symphonies. Romeo and Juliet
The Conservatory Dance Company stages another memorable production of Prokofiev's famous ballet, choreographed by Nicolas Petrov, an internationally acclaimed dancer, choreographer and artistic director who retired from Point Park last year. He choreographed the American premiere of Romeo and Juliet at Point Park more than 40 years ago as his debut production at the school.
