Light Up Night Concert
Resident Conductor Fawzi Haimor conducts selections by Wagner, Mozart, Tchaikovsky and Sibelius, and Ravel's Piano Concerto in G major featuring Fox Chapel Area High School's Rishi Mirchandani, who has played at Carnegie Hall and won a Grand Prize at the World Piano Competition. Free tickets are available in advance at Heinz Hall and 412-392-4900, or at the event on a first come, first served basis.

Ensemble Caprice - Chaconne: Voices of Eternity
The Baroque chaconne, with its steady harmonic progression, has been associated with the concept of eternity. During the 17th and 18th centuries, composers across Europe gave their best to live up to the incredible challenge of transcending our perception of time. The great compositions by J.S. Bach, T.A. Vitali, A. Falconiero, T. Merula and J.F. Rebel feature different and spectacular ways to do so.

Utilizing Shadyside's four-manual Reuter in the chancel and a two-manual Moeller in the gallery — Kevin Jones and Michael Messina will present music written for two organs (Calvin Hampton's Alexander Variations and Stephen Paulus's Paean), organ and piano (Leo Sowerby's Dialogue), and solo organ (Handel and Mendelssohn).

St. Francis: A Musical Tribute from the Past to the Present
Renowned vocalists Charlene Canty, soprano and Andrey Nemzer, countertenor accompanied by organist Nicholas Will present settings of the Stabat Mater by composers such as Vivaldi, Rossini, Haydn, Poulenc and Pergolesi. The concert's second half presents settings by award winning composer Eli Tamar of texts attributed to Saint Francis.
