The Kreutzer Sonata
Pozdynyshev, an enigmatic stranger in a smoky rail car, weaves a tale of love, loss and betrayal. His sensuous wife plays piano while his old friend plays violin, the Kreutzer Sonata between them, powerful and evocative. Was Beethoven's music the soundtrack to their illicit passion, or has Pozdynyshev made a terrible mistake? Irish playwright Nancy Harris adapted Tolstoy's classic novella into a theatrical experience. Richard McMillan stars, Alan Stanford directs.

Other Desert Cities
Lyman Wyeth is an actor-politician in the Ronald Reagan mold. His impeccable wife Polly never has a strand of hair out of place. Now retired, their life in a wealthy Palm Springs enclave is upset when relatives arrive for the holidays. Son Trip is a TV reality show producer; Polly's sister Silda is a wisecracking liberal just out of rehab; most troubling is daughter Brooke, who announces that she is about to publish a revealing memoir. This 2012 Tony-nominated Broadway sensation by Jon Robin Baitz is an entertaining look at unruly family politics. Rob Ruggiero directs.

Come and meet those dancing feet in this Tony Award®-winning musical. The toe-tapping, foot-stomping score includes such classics as "We’re in the Money," "42nd Street" and "Lullaby of Broadway."

Honeck, Mozart & Mahler
Manfred Honeck's Mahler journey continues with the Symphony #7, one of the highlights of the season. This grand work, composed at a tumultuous time in the composer's life, is sad yet triumphant and features two “night music” movements and is extremely gratifying for the musicians and audience alike. The concert begins with Mozart's “A Little Night Music."
