Becky's New Car
By Steven Dietz, directed by Kim Martin. Becky Foster is caught in middle age, middle management and in a middling marriage—with no prospects for change on the horizon. Then one night a socially inept and grief-struck millionaire stumbles into the car dealership where Becky works. Becky is offered nothing short of a new life…and the audience is offered a chance to ride shotgun in a way that most plays wouldn't dare. Becky's New Car is a thoroughly original comedy with serious overtones, a devious and delightful romp down the road not taken.

Playing off the date of this concert, composers wrote new music inspired by events that occured on a January 31st. Composers include OvreArts founders Blake Ragghianti and Luke Mayernik, as well as Erberk Eryilmaz, Chris Massa, Emily Jackson and Ryan McMasters. Original choreography by Texture Contemporary Ballet and Chelsea Zimmer will be featured, as well as a special appearance by WQED's own Rick Sebak. Classical QED's Ted Sohier hosts.

Youth Orchestra Winter Concert
The PYCO will perform selections from Vivaldi's Four Seasons, Mozart's Overture to the Marriage of Figaro, and works by Corelli and Saint-Saens. Two winners of the PYCO concerto competition will be featured: North Allegheny Senior High's Kavita Shankar and Carson Middle School's Kennedy Urban.
