Warhol: Headlines
Warhol: Headlines defines and brings together 80 works that the artist based largely on headlines from the tabloid news. Warhol had a lifelong obsession with the sensational side of contemporary news media, and examples of his source materials for the works of art are presented for comparison, revealing Warhol's role as both editor and author.

Tom Angleberger
Tom Angleberger is the creator of the wacky, popular "Origami Yoda" series, based on the adventures of kids at McQuarrie Middle School and their Star Wars-inspired finger puppets. His books are a "hybrid" of pictures and words that kids really love. Tom comes to share his latest episode, The Secret of the Fortune Wookiee.

Music with a Mission
The band will play works in a variety of styles, from Rimsky-Korsakov's "Procession of the Nobles" to Gershwin and Sousa.  This annual concert benefits the Squirrel Hill Food Pantry.  It's free, but a donation of non-perishable food items is requested.

New Zealand native Henry Wong Doe performs Beethoven's Piano Sonata # 22 in F, Liszt's 9th Transcendental Etude, two pieces by contemporary composer Gareth Farr, and Musorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition.

Symphony East

St. Olaf Orchestra
Called "one of the best college orchestras in the nation" by TIME magazine, the St. Olaf Orchestra is known for its passionate music-making and professional-level performances. This national tour includes repertoire such as Smetana's Dance of the Comedians, Fete from the Nocturnes by Debussy, “Danzón No. 2 by Marquez, Sensemayá by Silvestre Revueltas, Valse Triste by Sibelius, and Ravel's “Suite #2” from Daphnis and Chloe.
